I am passionate about helping children use their creative voices and build their skill sets in unique and supportive ways!
How It All Began
Telling our stories is how we connect with others.
I have loved making up stories since I started talking. As a young child, I would spend hours scribbling down ideas, making up characters, and crafting all kinds of tales. It was how I expressed myself then, and it still is today.
As a teacher, I found storytelling to be such a therapeutic and joyful part of my classroom too. There is good, scientific reason for that! This kind of creative mindfulness can help calm the mind, build focus and flexible thinking, and promote self-regulation. It also boosts literacy skills and comprehension, even when they aren't written down.
I use research-backed strategies along with playful and innovative teaching techniques to nurture these crucial skills and help children grow, learn, and thrive.
